Alton Brown Guacamole Recipe

The Guacamole recipe by Alton Brown is a classic avocado dip that is loaded with mix-ins like tomato, jalapeño, garlic, and cayenne.

This guacamole recipe is pretty straight forward and simple to make. First of all, you have to cut the avocados into halves, remove the seeds and peel them. Put the avocado pulp into a large bowl and toss with lime juice. Add the remaining ingredients and mix them well.

Mash the avocados with a potato masher if you like or make chunky guacamole. Make this damn tasty guacamole this Sunday and enjoy it with your family.

Ingredients

  • 3 Haas avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

How to make guacamole

Cut the avocados in halves, remove the seed, and peel. Place the avocado pulp in a large bowl. Add lime juice and toss to coat the avocado.

After the avocado pulp has been coated, drain and reserve the lime juice.

Add salt, cumin, and cayenne and mash with a potato masher. Then add onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic.

Add just 1 tablespoon of reserved lime juice and mix them well until combined.

Allow the guacamole to sit at room temperature before serving. Enjoy!
