Walmart Amish Macaroni Salad Recipe

The Amish macaroni salad is one of the most loved summer salads. This recipe is inspired by the typical Walmart Amish Macaroni Salad recipe with some twists.

This macaroni salad uses sweet and creamy dressing like Miracle Whip. The salad is usually labeled as “deli macaroni salad” in Lancaster County, PA by Amish families.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni noodles (cooked)
  • 2 cups creamy salad dressing, like Miracle Whip
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 3 hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • 2 tbsp pickle relish
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp celery seed
  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 stalks celery, diced

How to make macaroni salad

First, mix creamy salad dressing, sugar, mustard, celery seed, salt, and relish pickle in a large bowl.

Add macaroni noodles, bell pepper, eggs, onion, and celery and gently fold them until all ingredients are combined.

Cover the bowl with the plastic wrapper and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving or ideally overnight.
