Beef Barley Soup Recipe

Beef Barley soup is a time-consuming recipe but there is no debate about the taste as it is so delicious. You must adopt a habit of making this soup.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon cup chopped celery
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 lbs Chuck Roast
  • 3 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 2 cartons of low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 cups chopped yellow onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 3 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • Salt and freshly grounded black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 cup pearl barley
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh thyme

Method to make the  delicious Beef Barley Soup

  1. Take a large-sized pot and pour some oil into the pot. Heat it up and then sift the beef into your pot. Sprinkle your necessary seasonings over your beef.
  2. Cook until the beef changes its color and gets browned. After enough searing, transfer the cooked beef to a plate and put it aside.
  3. Then in your emptied pot, pour some more oil, and this time we have to fry the vegetables in it.
  4. First of all ad carrots and once the carrots get a little softened combine the onions with the carrots. Continue frying.
  5. After a few minutes, add your minced garlic to the vegetables and then pour the tomato sauce into it.
  6. Bring the broth and add it to the cooked vegetables. Stir the vegetables in the broth using a spoon.
  7. Bring the sauces like Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce and add them to your mixture.
  8. Then to season your soup, add thyme and rosemary to your dish.
  9. Shower the salt and pepper.
  10. Bring your cooked beef and add to the veggie and broth mixture. Let the beef simmer in the broth for more than half an hour.
  11. Also, add barley after some time and continue simmering it with the broth and beef.
  12. Stir everything well and in the end, add parsley to your soup.
  13. Once done, serve your soup hot after pouring it into the bowl.
