1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist white cake mix
Water, vegetable oil and whole eggs called for on cake mix box
1 box (4-serving size) Jell-O strawberry-flavored gelatin
1 cup strawberries
Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting
2 oz cream cheese, softened
2 teaspoons milk
1 ½ cups whipping cream
½ cup powdered sugar
How to make strawberry cake
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only 13×9 inch pan or round pan and lightly flour.
In a large mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients for cake with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds then increase speed to medium and mix for 2 minutes.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until wooden pick inserted comes out clean. Remove from oven, let it cool for few minutes then remove pan and cool completely for about 1 hour before frosting.
Beat the cream cheese and milk in chilled bowl with electric mixer for 30 seconds on low speed. Add whipping cream and powdered sugar and beat for 2 minutes on medium speed until soft peaks form.
Spread the frosting mixture on top and sides of the cake. Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve. You can store it in refrigerator.
