  • 2 ripened, mashed bananas
  • 2 large-sized eggs
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups chopped black walnuts for garnishing
  • 1 (16-oz) box confectioners sugar
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream

Method to make delicious Black Walnut Cake

  1. Combine the baking soda with flour in a bowl and then you have to pulse the shortening with the sugar to turn it into a creamed mixture. This creamed mixture should be fluffy, lightweight, and soft.
  2. Break eggs in this fluffy mixture, add the mashed bananas, and pour the buttermilk into it. Also, add the vanilla essence and the combined flour mixture to it.
  3. Blend well and add black walnuts.
  4. Use a cooking spray on cooking pans and transfer the mixture to these pans. Bake for more than half an hour and use cooling racks to cool it down.
