  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound lean grounded beef
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 medium-sized yellow onion
  • 2 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can of petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 can of red kidney beans, drained

Method to make Bob Evans Chili Recipe

  1. You need a large-sized soup pot for making this chili recipe. Put this pot on the stovetop and keep the heat high for a few minutes.
  2. After heating the olive oil in the pot lower the heat and add the diced onion into the pot and fry them.
  3. Bring the grounded meat and add it to the soup pot.  Cook the beef with the fried onion so that it will be browned. Also, use a wooden spatula to handle and stir the meat.
  4. You must break the grounded beef while cooking. Use the same spatula for this purpose.
  5. Your beef will be browned to the required color in almost 10-12 minutes.
  6. Then to season up your beef, sprinkle the chili powder over it. Add a little sugar and then pour tomato paste into it.
  7. Then for powdered ingredients add the salt and pepper and then add garlic powder into it.
  8. Pour the broth into the beef. Add in the diced tomatoes and then pour some more tomato sauce.
  9. In the end, add the drained red beans.
  10. Boil the chili beef and simmer at lowered heat. Cook for half an hour and keep on stirring in between.
  11. Turn off the heat and let the chili settle for a few minutes.  Serve hot!
