Casa Bonita Cheese Enchiladas Recipe

Casa Bonita Cheese Enchiladas have been my favorite for ages. It has been on my list since the first time I tried them at a restaurant and I got crazier about it. I was constantly thinking about making these and finally, I made these with a fabulous recipe. I was happy that I tried this recipe as everyone complements its taste. It fills your stomach and thus is a proper meal.

The sauce it contains is made with different versions some including flour only and others also involving vegetables in it. White onions when sprinkled on the dish before servings make the dish look enchanting. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chili powder
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1-quart water
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • Oil for heating tortillas
  • 3/4 pound shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup chopped white onions

Instructions to make Casa Bonita Cheese Enchiladas Recipe

  1. Grab a medium-sized pot or a non-stick pan and add oil and flour. Mix well and cook the mixture until a soft fragrance comes out of it.
  2. Throw salt along with the paprika and chili powder. Whisk to combine the mixture. Then add some water. Wait until the sauce gets thick and then add some more water.
  3. Warm up the corn tortillas in the preheated oven. You can also do so in a pan greased with oil.
  4. Bring the baking dish and spread the cooked sauce at its bottom. Put some cheese before rolling up each tortilla strip. Then place each rolled-up tortilla strip in the baking dish.
  5. With your enchiladas, fill the baking dish and also top the dish with the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle all the remaining shredded cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes and wait until the cheese melts.
  8. Remove from the pan and serve in the serving dish don’t forget to drizzle some more sauce at the top and serve with chili sauce.
