Cha Cha’s White Chicken Chili

Chicken gravy and brown chicken recipes have become too old-fashioned and everyone is tired of them. The best substitute for such a chicken recipe is white chicken chili which is the best combo of chili and chicken with chicken broth and white beans complementing the recipe.

A little shredded cheese is also sprinkled at the top, in the end, to make the white chicken chili cheesy and saucy. INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (4-ounce can) jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (4 ounces) can of green chili peppers
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 (14 ounces) cans of chicken broth
  • 3 cups chicken breasts, diced
  • 3 (15-ounce) cans of white beans
  • 1 cup monetary jack cheese shredded

Instructions to make Cha Cha’s White Chicken Chili

  1. In a large saucepan, add the oil and heat it while the flame is low. Do not overheat the oil.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the heated oil and stir fry until it gets soft.  Also, add the crushed garlic to the frying onion.
  3. Throw in the jalapeno and green chili peppers which you have already diced. Add the oregano, cumin, and cayenne pepper at the same time. Stir well. Wait until both the jalapeno and the green chili peppers are tender.
  4. Add diced chicken breasts and also pour the chicken broth into it. Let the mixture sizzle for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Also, add the white beans at this point to the rest of the mixture.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes while you stir it occasionally and in the end, throw the shredded cheese in it.
  7. Serve warm with the tortilla and bread.

Yes, you can add butter to your white chili chicken to make it creamy and saucy. You can also add cream to it as it is white chili chicken.

Does this white chili chicken too much spicy?
