A single pan and a quick preparation: here is a winning solution! Try this recipe right away, which contains, in addition to chicken, noodles and cheddar cheese, a creamy and delicious garlic sauce.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked and shredded chicken

4 cups egg noodles (cooked and drained)

3 cups grated cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon all purpose flour

1 small finely chopped onion

1 clove minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

How to prepare chicken and noodles in casserole

Preheat the oven at 350 F.

Prepare the 9×13 baking casserole, grease it.

In another casserole, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onion until they are about translucent. Stirring continuously then add garlic and red pepper flakes. Continue cooking for 2 minutes.

Now add milk and 2 cups of cheddar cheese. Continue cooking and mixing until cheese is melted then add salt and pepper to taste.

Add cooked and shredded chicken, sour cream and noodles (cooked and drained) to the cheese mixture. Mix them well so that noodles are coated with the cheese mixture.

Now pour the mixture to the prepared baking casserole. Top with remaining 1 cup of cheese and bake for 30 minutes. Once the cheese is melted and sauce is making bubbles, remove the casserole from oven.

Let it cool for some time before serving.
