- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cups evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 6 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2tablespoon espresso powder
- 6 large-sized eggs
- 2 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups cold heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons of confectioner’s sugar
- Unsweetened cocoa powder for garnishing
- 1 store-bought pie crust (you can also make your own)
Steps to make Chocolate Chess Pie Recipe
- In this chocolate chess pie recipe, you will be needing an oven which you have to preheat first so that the perfect temperature will be provided to the chess pie.
- Bake the ready-made pie crusts first in the oven by putting them on the parchment paper. After baking them for 20 minutes, take them out of the oven and let them cool.
- In this entire duration, you should prepare the filling for the pie crust.
- Get a bowl out of your kitchen box and mix sugar in the evaporated milk. Also, pour the melted butter and whisk well. For the whisking process, you will need a hand blender.
- Also add the cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla essence. Stir to combine.
- OH wait ! how can you forget instant espresso powder? Add the instant espresso powder and mix the entire ingredients until well merged.
- Pour the prepared filling over the baked pie crust.
- Bake the pie in the oven for 45 minutes with all the filling inside. Once baked, let it air cool, and after air cooling refrigerate it for 3-4 hours.
- Your pie is perfectly settled in this refrigeration time.
- Take another large bowl or clean the previous one. Beat cream in that bowl along with confectioners sugar. Beat and blend well until the mixture gets fluffy.
- Take the pie out of the refrigerator just before serving and garnish it with the unsweetened cocoa powder.
