Sara Lee Chocolate Chip Brownie Recipe

This chocolate chip brownie recipe is very close to the fudgy Sara Lee brownies that that are available in the market. With this recipe, you can make and enjoy chocolate chip brownies at home. Ingredients

  • 2/3 c unbleached flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 3/4 c cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 to 1 c toasted, chopped walnuts

Glaze

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 oz semisweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk

How to make chocolate chip brownies

Preheat oven to 350F.

Combine eggs with vanilla and sugar in a bowl. Add milk and butter.

Stir flour, baking powder, cocoa, and salt together. Combine with egg mixture. Stir in chocolate chips ans nuts.

Spread the brownie batter into a greased 8 inch square pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25 minutes.

For glaze: melt butter over medium heat and then reduce heat and add chocolate, milk, and sugar. Continue heating over low heat for few minutes until the mixture is smooth. Don’t boil it.

Pour the chocolate chip glaze mixture over cooled brownies and refrigerate the brownies to chill. Slice and serve.
