Crab Cake Recipe with Ritz Crackers

The Crab Cakes with Ritz Crackers are crunchy and buttery treats. I am passionate about crab cakes and I want to make the best ever crab cakes every time. This recipe is one of my most favorite that I have been using for so many years.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh crabmeat, well drained
  • 8 ritz crackers, finely crushed
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (Optional)
  • ¼ cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How to make crab cakes

Mix ritz crackers, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, seafood seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and salt in a large bowl.

Add crabmeat and stir until the mixture is well combined. Cover and keep in refrigerator for 1 hour.

Shape crab mixture into small patties. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on a plate. Coat crab cakes in breadcrumbs.

Melt butter over medium heat and cook crab cakes until golden brown. Turn and cook on the other side for 4 minutes.
