French Onion Soup Recipe

  • 1 cup red wine (optional)
  • 2 fresh thyme springs
  • Kosher salt
  • freshly grounded black pepper
  • 3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Method to make delicious French Onion Soup

  1. Bring a large-sized soup cooking pot and put the butter in it so that it will melt. In this melted butter add the diced onions and stir fry until slightly browned.
  2. Add garlic to the frying onions and also add bay leaves at the same time.
  3. Season up this onion garlic paste with salt and freshly grated black pepper. You will see that after about cooking of 15-20 minutes the mixture is completely merged and cooked.
  4. Add flour to the onions and stir fry a little but make sure the flour is merged enough o leave a good flavor.
  5. Pour the beef broth into it and boil. After boiling, remove the bay leaves from the soup. Also, remove the thyme from it. Simmer on lowered heat for some time.
  6. Add more salt and pepper to the broth.
  7. Bring the baking sheet and put the baguette slice on it. Now spread the Gruyere.
  8. Put it on the preheated broiler. You have to make it fluff and browned so that cooks according to the required time. In my opinion cook for 6 minutes.
  9. Bring the serving bowl and pour soup into them.
  10. Before serving put the cooked Gruyere over your soup bowls and Serve while Hot to have the best taste.
