French Toast Casserole Recipe

French Toast Casserole is made on daily basis at my house. I also give it to my kids in their lunch as it’s a yummy, soft and spongy meal for them and they love it to the core. This recipe is a way to utilize that bread lying in your fridge for many days now.

  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • 2 tablespoons divided cinnamon
  • 2 cups of fresh milk
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 loaf of French bread
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 eggs at room temperature

Method to make French Toast Casserole

  1. Put a medium-sized saucepan on the stovetop and add butter into it to get it melted.
  2. Combine the brown sugar in the melted butter which with the spatula.
  3. Bring a baking pan of the preheating and coat it with butter. Then transfer the cooked butter and sugar mixture into it.
  4. Bring the bread cubes and arrange them in a layer over the sugar butter mixture.
  5. Then beat the eggs after combining them with the vanilla extract. They drop the milk into it slowly while whisking constantly.
  6. Add the cinnamon into the mixture and then drizzle it over the layered bread pieces in the pan. The bread will get well soaked in the egg and milk mixture.
  7. In the end shower the brown sugar over it and a little more cinnamon at the top.
  8. Start baking your casserole in the oven which is already preheated at a very suitable temperature of 425 degrees.
  9. Once baking is done, dust the powdered sugar very your French toast casserole and have Fun with your yum casserole.
