  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 cups butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar, for sprinkling
  • Icing of your choice

How to make gingerbread cookies

Preheat the oven at 350F. Arrange the baking dish with parchment paper.

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and spices (ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon).

In another bowl, mix butter and brown sugar until combined. Add honey, egg, and vanilla and mix again until well combined.

Start adding flour to the butter mixture and mix them well to combine.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and keep in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
