Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Making new and trying out new versions of dishes like kinds of pasta and other delicious casseroles have been my favorite hobby since mi has started cooking. This time I chose to try out this green bean casserole in my kitchen and honestly I am speechless as it turn out so amazing.

The recipe consists of only four to five ingredients and your casserole will be ready in just less than half an hour. The addition of cheese makes sit bubbly and you can vary the flavor of the condensed soup instead of mushroom soup.

  • 1 (10.5 ounces) cream of condensed mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (6 ounces) can French fried onions
  • 2 (14.5 ounces) cans of green beans, drained

Method to make delicious Green Bean Casserole

  1. To make the green bean casserole, firstly get the oven preheated at 350 degrees.
  2. Take a large-sized bowl and make sure that the bowl is oven safe. Add beans into it and then pour the condensed soup into the beans.
  3. Now, put the bean and soup mixture into your preheated oven and bake for a few minutes like 4-5 minutes.
  4. Bring the green bean and soup mixture out of the oven and add the shredded cheddar cheese into the cooked mixture.
  5. Now bring a casserole dish and put the whole mixture into this dish. At the top of the layered mixture, spread your French fried onions.
  6. Make another layer of the leftover cheddar over it.
  7. Put the casserole dish in your preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes only.
  8. In the meantime, you will see that the cheese melts and the casserole gets bubbly. Also when you see that the French fried onions are turning brown, it means you should end cooking.
  9. Get it out of the oven and Serve!

FAQs?

Can we use any other kind of cheese?

Yes, you can use your favorite kinds of cheese like mozzarella, or cheddar to whatever you like to add to your bean casserole. I usually prefer the cheddar cheese that’s why I chose it.

Should we cook the bean casserole while covered?

Basically, you have to bake it uncovered. But if the onions are getting browned too quickly and the rest of the mixture in a casserole is not cooked yet then you should cover with the foil and then bake.
