Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup Kosher salt
  • 2 gallon-size ziplock bags

How to make Halo Top ice cream

  1. Warm the ½ cup milk and ¼ cup water in a saucepan on low heat.
  2. Beat the egg and pour it into the milk. Stir the mixture with a spatula until it is fully combined.
  3. Add the gelatin, mix well and remove the saucepan from heat.
  4. Let the mixture cools down then add protein powder.
  5. When the milk mixture cools down completely, pour it into a plastic bag.
  6. Add ice cubes and salt to another ziplock bag. Place the milk bag into the ice bag and seal.
  7. Now, you have to shake the bag for 8 to 10 minutes until the milk mixture becomes hard in the form of ice cream.
  8. Transfer the ice cream to serving cups. Top the ice cream with raspberries or strawberries. Enjoy!
