Making Jalapeno Chicken Salad Recipe is a whole therapy for me as it is my most liked salad recipe of the year.  The Jalapeno Chicken Salad recipe is an effortless recipe as you just have to mix everything and then can indulge in the salad anytime you want.

Out of all the regular salad recipes, I wanted to add some spice to my salad and that’s why I went for the jalapeno chicken salad recipe. The jalapeno Salad can be made in ten minutes only and that’s why we can call it a quick recipe.

Making the dressing

To make the dressing for the salad you have to mix in all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well to combine them.

The dressing includes seasonings and creamy and liquid ingredients. All of them are stirred together to have the best dressing ever for a Jalapeno chicken salad.

Mixing the chicken and the Dry ingredients

The chicken is added to the prepared dressing which was already cooked and you just have to shred it. The avocados, the onions, the ribs, and the jalapeno peppers are then added to the mix and stirred to get coated with the dressing.

Serving the Salad

The prepared salad is then added to a serving bowl and served to the guests. This is usually served as an appetizer and it is mostly ordered for lunch and dinner as it is a spicy one and spicy appetizers are not served at breakfast or the end of the meal. Serve after drizzling some more mayo or cream at the top to make it look more worthy.

  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup diced avocado
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • Cooking spray to use
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 tablespoon grounded cumin
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/2 finely chopped celery rib
  • 1/2 red onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickled jalapeno peppers
  • 1/2 red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 4 large-sized flour tortillas

Method to make the Jalapeno Chicken Salad Recipe

  1. Bring a bowl that is of desired suitable size and then you have to pour some mayonnaise into this bowl. After pouring the mayonnaise you must pour some lime juice into it.
  2. Sprinkle the cumin in this mayo and lime mixture.
  3. You must have the cooked chicken available for this recipe or you can boil and shred the chicken while performing the recipe. The chicken should be shredded to fine thick threads and then this shredded chicken is added to the mayo mix.
  4. Slice the red bell pepper and the red onions at the same time. After slicing the veggies start adding them to the mixture one by one.
  5. First immediately after adding the chicken you must add the red bell peppers and the sliced onions into it.
  6. Then you should also add the celery into it at the same time.
  7. Then bring the half-sliced avocado and add it to the mayo mix. Stir it well so that it will be properly combined.
  8. Cilantro is added to the mixture and then the pickled jalapenos are also added to this mixture.
  9. Stir using the spatula and everything will be properly combined.
  10. Sprinkle some salt and pepper over it according to the taste. Stir again.
  11. Bring a cooking pan that is nonstick and you should use the cooking spray to put each flour tortilla over this sauce one by one according to instructions.
  12. Make sure to flip the tortilla after cooking for a few minutes so that it will change its color.  You must also have a hot pot or a pan that keeps the tortilla pan.
  13. Bring the chicken Salad and serve it well along with the tortilla.
