Jimmy Johns Bread Recipe

The Jimmy Johns bread is by far the best bread available at any of the restaurants. With lightly browned crust, it is the perfect bread for sandwiches. By following the recipe, I am going to share, you can make this delicious bread at home.

The recipe takes about 2 hours to make the bread. You can make this bread on the weekend and store it for the whole week. Follow the steps carefully to get perfect results.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

How to make Jimmy Johns Bread

Preheat oven at 400F.

Combine 1 tablespoon sugar, yeast and ½ cup warm water. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

Add bread flour, all-purpose flour, oil, 3 tablespoon sugar, salt, and 1 and half cups warm water. Knead until smooth and soft.

Let the dough rise for 1 hour. Split into 12 pieces and roll into loaves.

Place the loaves on silpat lined baking sheet. Let them rise for 45 minutes. Slash with a sharp knife.

Bake for 18 minutes in the oven. Remove from oven and cut the bread in half. Make burgers/sandwiches and enjoy the delicious bread.
