- 1 whole chicken
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 egg white, beaten
- ½ tsp ground allspice
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 tsp onion salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp celery salt
- ½ tsp dried sage
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried basil

How to cook KFC fried chicken
Mix all the spices together and combine them with all-purpose flour, salt, and brown sugar.
Coat the chicken pieces in egg white then in flour mixture. Slightly press the chicken pieces to coat them well.
Allow the chicken pieces to rest for 5 minutes to dry the crust a bit.
Preheat the fryer to 350F and deep fry the chicken pieces in batches. The breasts and wings normally take 12-14 minutes to cook and thighs and legs will take a few more minutes.
