Korean Chicken is a deep-fried chicken that is then coated with the amazing Shoyu sauce mixed with honey and vinegar. All these ingredients together make this chicken heavenly and delicious. Korean Chicken Recipe Hawaii is my favorite recipe to date.

The sesame seeds and the green onions give very good vibes to your chicken as the flavor gets more amazing step by step with each ingredient. Korean Chicken Recipe is a family dish that should be a part of dinners and gatherings.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/3 cup green onions, diced
  • 2 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoon garlic sauce
  • 3 1/2 lbs boneless chicken thighs
  • 2/3 cup Shoyu Aloha Shoyu
  • 1/4 cup stevia (use all sugar to your favorite sweetener)

Steps to make Luscious Korean Chicken

  1. You need bite-sized pieces of the chicken thighs. Use a knife to dice the chicken.
  2. Coat the chicken all around with flour. Use the saran wrap to cover the chicken and this chicken is needed to be refrigerated for an hour at least.
  3. After this refrigeration, the chicken will change its color and you will see the flour is well sticking to the chicken. If an hour of settling is not provided to the chicken, the flour will fall off.
  4. Now in a large bowl, put all the sesame seeds and pour the apple cider vinegar into it. Add the Chili Garlic sauce to it and mix the sugar into the batter.
  5. Drizzle some honey into it and mix the diced green onions into the batter. Pour the sesame oil in a little quantity into the mixture.
  6. Take a frying pan and pour the vegetable oil into it. Add chicken into the heated oil one by one. You need to add the chicken pieces one by one separately to avoid them sticking with each other.
  7. Flip the chicken while cooking to get it fried from all sides. Each side needs about 5-6 minutes for the complete look.
  8. Transfer the chicken from the frying pan to a plate and then dip the fried chicken in the sauce. Let the chicken soaks all the sauce in it.

FAQs?

Can we sprinkle the sesame seeds over the chicken before serving?

You can do so as the sesame chicken gives a good flavor to your food and especially to your chicken. The step is not essential as it is not part of the actual Korean recipe.

Why do we coat the chicken with flour?

Chicken is well coated with flour so that it will get crispy enough after frying. The flour coating gives all the crisps to your chicken and is essential for this chicken recipe.
