Kung Pao chicken is made with two types of delicious sauces. One is the stir fry sauce and the other one is the sauce batter made in a bowl. Both of them combine to give a thickened gravy to your chicken which makes your cooked marinated chicken more luscious.
The green onion, chili pepper, peppercorns, and roasted peanuts are all together in making this dish a good one and you cannot argue with me about its perfect flavor and spice.

- 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup roasted unsalted peanuts
- 1 tablespoon peppercorns
- 8-10 dried chilies, chopped
Method to make Kung Pao Chicken
- In a mixing bowl, add the soy sauce and combine the corn starch with it. Add the baking soda into it and then put your chicken breast in this marination.
- In a separate bowl, you have to prepare the sauce batter. Add corn flour to the bowl and mix sugar in it. Pour the soy sauce and then add the black vinegar into it
- Add the chicken stock to this mixture and then add hoisin sauce. Mix the sauce well using a hand whisk. Your sugar will ultimately dissolve in it.
- Take a large pot and heat some oil in it. Once heated enough, bring your coated chicken and put it in the pot. When the chicken is browned, turn off the heat.
- Now in the same pan, pour some more oil and add the chili pepper to the oil. Also, add garlic and stir fry both of them. Then add the peppercorns to the oil.
- Bring your sauce batter and pour it into this chili mixture in the pot. Continue simmering and it will be thickened with time.
- Add the chicken back into this mixture. Let it cook in the thickening sauce.
- Bring the diced green onion and add it to the chicken. Pour some sesame oil and add the roasted peanuts into it.
- Your Kung Pao Chicken is ready to serve.
