Sara Lee Low Calorie Bread Recipe

People who are watching their calories or on a diet need low calorie bread. Here is an easy recipe with simple ingredients. This low calorie bread is oil free and takes just 30 minutes to make.

We are using the minimum amount of sugar in this recipe. We cannot completely avoid sugar because the dough will not rise well without sugar. You can make this bread for breakfast or any time you want.

Ingredients

  • 100 g Bread flour
  • 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
  • 1/2 tbsp Sugar
  • 70 ml Water
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

How to make low calorie bread

Add water to a large bowl and heat in microwave for 30 seconds. Add instant dry yeast and sugar in warm water. Mix with fork then add flour and salt.

Knead the bread dough by hand. Wrap it and microwave at 200 W for 40 seconds. Knead the dough again and microwave for 10 minutes at the dough rising setting.

Preheat the oven to 230 C. Make 4 equal balls with the dough and place them on a baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes on bottom rack.

Remove the tray from the oven. Let the bread cool before serving.

    No caloric information, im disappointed, however looks good so i might just do it and work out the calories for myself, would be nice however if the calories were already displayed so people dont have to spend their time trying to figure out the calories.
