Mutton Leg Soup Recipe

Soup is primarily a liquid food that is usually injected in winters and colder days. There are many sorts of soup including chicken soup, vegetable soup, egg soup, etc but today I have brought a particularly different recipe of soup. Mutton leg soup is the healthiest version out of all soup recipes. You must try it once in a while to treat your entire family to a healthy meal.

Mutton leg soup is made out of cooking the lambs leg. The soup when cooked or boiled for a long time gives a healthy extract You can never go wrong with a mutton leg soup. INGREDIENTS

  • 6 mutton legs/ lamb trotters
  • Salt to taste
  • Small piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 3 glasses of water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp chickpea flour

The process to make an amazing Mutton Leg Soup

  1. Firstly, wash the lamb legs or paya with water. Also, make use of wheat flour.
  2. Take hold of a pressure cooker and put these lamb legs in it. Make addition of salt, black pepper, and chopped ginger.
  3. Pour 3-4 glasses of water into the pressure cooker. Cook on high flame for 30-40 minutes so that the complete juice will be extracted. When cooked, set it aside.
  4. Take a cooking vessel and heat oil in it. Fry the chopped onions in it along with the chilies. You can sprinkle some water if needed. Add in some salt according to taste.
  5. Shower coriander and mint leave followed by black peppercorn powder.
  6. Take a small bowl and make a paste of besan with water. Then add this paste and chickpea flour to the cooked soup. Cover the cooker from the top.
  7. Now cook again until it gets to a boil. Boil for 10-15 more minutes.
  8. Serve Hot!

How to wash or clean Lamb legs?

Clean the paya with the wheat flour and finely wash it with water. Make sure no hair is left. In some places, people usually burn it to remove all the hair.
