No Bake Cookies without Peanut Butter

The oatmeal no-bake cookies are a pure delight with classic flavors. These cookies are made without peanut butter, but if you like, you can add any alternative nut butter, like almond butter in this recipe.

The recipe is quick; it will take hardly 5 to 10 minutes in cooking and preparations. These no-bake cookies are made with only 6 ingredients that include: quick oats, sugar, butter, milk, vanilla, and cocoa powder. First, we will make syrup mixture with milk, butter and sugar. Then we will add the remaining ingredients and make the cookies.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups oatmeal (use quick oats)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (salted)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

How to make no bake oatmeal cookies

Add milk, butter, and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir frequently.

Once the mixture is at full boil, stir well and cook for just one minute and then remove the saucepan from heat.

Now add vanilla and cocoa powder and mix well. Then add oatmeal into the mixture and mix until oats are combined with the mixture.

Take a waxed paper and place on a tray. Drop scoop size portions on the paper and press a little bit with the help of a spoon to make the cookie.

Leave them for an hour to set completely.

No bake oatmeal cookies are ready to serve. Enjoy!
