Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

How to make ice cream

Combine whipping cream, half and half, sugar, and vanilla extract in the cream canister. Put the freezing cover on. Place the cream canister in the ice bucket.

Now, add 1 cup of cold water into the ice bucket and make a 1-inch layer of ice cubes around the cream canister. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of table salt or ¼ cup of kosher salt on the ice cubes.

Continue making layers of ice and salt in this way to the top of the ice bucket. Pour another 1 cup of cold water over the final ice layer.

Remove the freezing cover. Then insert the peddle, put the mixing cover on, and place the ice bucket cover on the ice bucket.
