For the Pav
- 10 ladi Pav
- 4-5 tbsp butter
For the bhaji
- 1 cup chopped cauliflower
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
- 2 tbsp red chili garlic paste
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
- 2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
- 2-3 cups water
For Serving
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 5 lemon wedges
Steps of preparing Spicy Roadside Pav Bhaji at home
For making Bhaji
- Take a pressure cooker, and combine cauliflower, green peas, carrots in the cooker. Add 1 cup of water and cook for a few minutes.
- Keep your cooked mixture aside.
- In a nonstick pan, heat the butter and then throw in chopped onion for the purpose of frying it for at least 2 minutes.
- For making further additions, add chopped capsicum and chili garlic paste.
- In this frying pan mixture, add tomatoes, chili powder, and turmeric powder. Pour half cup of water and mix well.
- Saute the mixture for a few minutes.
- Now for combining the mixtures, add potatoes and cauliflower mixture in your skillet that is already containing onion material.
- Mix the whole material properly and add salt and water. Stir continuously and while mashing the material.
- Throw the chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Your hot and spicy bhaji is ready after squeezing a lemon at the top.
For making Pav
- Cut the pav vertically and place on a heated Tawa with butter. Flip and heat from both sides.
- Cook until they are browned and get all the crisp.
- Cook several pavs by repeating the process and putting them aside.
- Serve your Bhaji with pavs, with lemon wedges and onion at a side of the plate.
