Pecan Sandies are crispy buttery sweets made by a simple yet easy recipe with a bunch of super good flavors in it.   • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup chopped Pecans

Method to Make the Pecan Sandies

Put the pecans on a cutting board and chop them all using a sharp knife.

Put all these chopped pecans into a baking pan and roast them in the oven for 2-3 minutes. These will get fragrant and will be toasted enough.

Bring the butter and use the same sharp knife to slice the butter into smaller pieces.

 

Add the sliced butter to a stand mixer. Then sprinkle some salt over the butter. Bring the powdered sugar and the granulated sugar and add these to the butter mix.

Blend at low speed until a fluffy and creamy mixture is formed in the end.

Bring the vanilla and add it to the fluffy mixture. Then add the all-purpose flour to the butter mixture. Beat again at low speed.

Add the toasted pecans to the thick dough and blend again. You should add a little water to adjust the consistency of the thick dough.

Spread and roll the dough on a floured surface and then knead this dough. Roll the dough into a sheet of parchment paper. Keep it for a few minutes and then open it up.

Then slice the rolls into smaller rounded cookies.

You can also use a cookie cutter to adjust or maintain the shape of all those cookies.

Put all the cookies on the parchment paper in the baking pan and top each cookie with the pecan.

Bake the cookies for at least 10-12 minutes and you get your perfect cookies in the end.
