Pickled Baby Corn Recipe

Pickled baby corns are a perfect side dish to make your food yummier and spicier. The pickled spices added to the boiled baby corn add good pickle relish to your corn making them even more worth eating that no one can deny how yummy they are.

Flavoring my pickled baby corn with the spices like jalapenos, chilies or red pepper flakes is my favorite job to do in this entire recipe. It makes them look more appetizing and yum and one can never have enough of these pickled baby corn the day you start making these.

  • 1 tablespoon pickling spice
  • 2 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 quarts baby corn, pickled
  • 2 tablespoon salt

Method to make the yummy Pickled Baby Corn Recipe

  1. To begin the baby corn recipe, you must bring a medium-sized cooking pot.
  2. Fill the pot with enough water and add the baby corn to it when the water is heated.
  3. Keep the flame medium and wait for the baby corn to get boiled. The baby corn will take only about 4-5  minutes to get a complete boil.
  4. Then in another saucepan, pour some water and add the sugar into it. Continue stirring the sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved in water.
  5. Now that both of your required ingredients are ready, bring the jars and sterilize them.
  6. Put the baby corn in the jars and then pour over the sauce like syrup which you have made separately.
  7. Now keep the corns stored in the jars for a longer period to get them done.
  8. Then store them in the fridge for future use.

These pickled corns can be stored in the fridge for a month at least. It will remain good even for more than a month. You just have to keep the jars airtight and keep them in a cold place.

Does the pickled baby corn involve the jalapenos?

You can sprinkle crushed jalapenos and chilies in the syrup that you have made to soak the corn. This will make the corn a bit spicy and yummy. But you will never regret adding jalapenos to your baby corn.
