The Pioneer Woman’s baked chicken breast is a dish very easy to accomplish. Moreover, thanks to cooking in the oven, it conquers an unbeatable tenderness and aroma.
Chicken breast cooked in this way is juicy, very tasty, and spreads an inviting scent throughout the house. To get a succulent chicken breast, soft inside and crunchy outside, just follow three steps, which I will explain well in this recipe.
A strong point of this dish is also the fact that it is a “neutral” course, in the sense that it can be served practically on any occasion, it is also perfect for both adults and children and can be combined easily, for example, it can be accompanied with your favorite side dish, from classic baked potatoes with more elaborate side dishes, or transformed into a single dish if accompanied with rice. 1 chicken breast
1 fresh chili
just enough extra virgin olive oil
1 clove of garlic
just enough of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper with lemon
1 teaspoon of thyme
Cooking method for Baked chicken breast
Wash the chicken breast and clean it by removing all parts of fat and cartilage. Cut the breast in half, forming two equal portions.
Prepare a glass dish. Wash a fresh chili pepper, cut off the stem and remove the seeds, then cut it into small pieces and add them to the chicken.
Peel a clove of garlic and mash it. Add it to the chicken. Salt the breast on both sides. Add the lemon pepper.
Sprinkle the meat with thyme and pour a little olive oil over it. Massage the chicken from all sides with your hands. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Heat some oil in a pan and brown the chicken breast on all sides for a few minutes. Put it back in the ovenproof dish, cover with aluminum foil, and place in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for 30 minutes.
The baked chicken breast is ready to serve.
Tips and tricks
- To get very aromatic meat, you can marinate the chicken overnight
- Use your favorite spices. To flavor everything, rosemary and paprika are fine, but also lemon, and butter.
- Check the cooking of the chicken breast after 15 minutes. If necessary, turn it. The internal temperature should be around 75 degrees.
