Quick and Easy Desserts with Few Ingredients

The chocolate pudding is a clever pudding, a sweet tooth, you can prepare at home in minutes with simple ingredients.

In this recipe we have prepared a version made only with milk, chocolate and corn starch: a great classic, irresistible and very fast, which will appeal to young and old.

You can serve it sprinkled with bitter cocoa, decorated with whipped cream and strawberries or whatever you like.

Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk
  • 250 g milk chocolate
  • 40 g corn starch

How to prepare chocolate pudding

Heat the milk in a saucepan. Low down the heat when it starts to boil. Add the chocolate cut into small pieces and melt it by mixing with a whisk. Add the corn starch and mix the mixture vigorously, until it is thick and creamy.

Pour the hot pudding mixture into aluminum cups, or muffin molds, and let cool. Place the cream in the fridge for at least two hours, or until the pudding is completely firm. Finally, unmold it and garnish it as you like.

Advice

If you use non-stick molds, it will be easy to unmold the pudding: just let it rest for a long time in the fridge. If you can’t, immerse the mold in hot water for a few seconds or put some paper cups in the molds, before pouring the mixture.

Those who wish can flavor the pudding with orange zest, or vanilla. Those who prefer a light chocolate pudding can use, in addition to dark chocolate, half skim milk and half water. If you want to prepare a dairy-free pudding, use vegetable milk: rice, soy, almond, or whatever you prefer.

This recipe is also ideal for making hot chocolate: you just need to consume the mixture immediately after preparation.

Storage

The chocolate pudding can be kept in the fridge for a maximum of 4 days covered with cling film.
