INGREDIENTS 

  • 1-liter milk
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 50 gm almonds and pistachio
  • 8 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp oil

Steps of Making Rasmalai

  1. Boil the required quantity of milk. Also, add cardamom powder and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir continuously while boiling.
  2. Grasp a bowl beat an egg white in it. Beat well until fluffy. Then add half a tablespoon of baking powder and a cup of powdered milk. Make sure this powdered milk is of good quality to prevent any disturbance in your flavor. Also, add a bit of oil to make it wet so that it will not stick or break.
  3. Mix well and it will turn into a dough-like mixture. Make small balls or patties out of this dough.
  4. When all the balls are done, add them into the boiling milk so that they will be cooked and rise up. Stir and prevent them from breaking up.
  5. Take a few 3-4 tbsp of milk and dissolve 1 tbsp of the cornflour in it. Mix well and add into the boiling milk to make it a little thick.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes. In the end, add the crushed dry fruits including almonds and pistachio, and turn off the heat. Let it cool before serving.
  7. Sprinkle some more pistachio at the top and Serve with the floating patties inside.
