This Manchurian recipe is a combo of Chinese and Indian cuisine made by roughly chopping and frying veggies and then cooking them in a sauce. Manchurian is made both by vegetables or chicken only. It is served with Chinese rice, fried rice, or with some other dish. It is spicy, saucy, and delicious.

When the vegetable balls are sizzled in gravy with classic sauces it gives a luscious flavor. Cabbage is the leading vegetable other than all the vegetables. Manchurian is a favorite of everyone especially youngsters as they are fond of Chinese food.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 medium-sized cabbage, grated
  • 1 medium carrot grated
  • 8-10 finely chopped french beans
  • 3 medium spring onions with green chilies, chopped
  • 1 medium green capsicum finely, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup refined flour
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 5-6 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2-inch celery finely chopped
  • 3 finely chopped green chilies
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cups Vegetable stocks
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Procedure to make a delicious Manchurian

  1. Take a small container and make a paste by mixing cornflour with water.
  2. Use a slide and a knife to chop the veggies. Mix the veggies including carrot, cabbage, and french beans in a bowl and rub them in salt.
  3. Also mix refined flour, cornflour, onion, and capsicum. Thoroughly knead the dough. Take small portions and make small balls.
  4. Take a deep frying skillet and heat up maximum oil in it. Fry the vegetable balls in this heated oil one by one. Fry until they gain a nice color.
  5. Drain the excess oil.
  6. Take another wok and heat 2 tbsp of oil in it. Stir the ginger and garlic mixture. Further, add green chilies and celery. Fry just for a few minutes and they should retain a crunch.
  7. Add soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Add a cup of ketchup to it. Fry in the vegetable stock and let the mixture sizzle. Also pour in the cornflour paste.
  8. Cook until the sauce started to get thicken. Stir constantly.
  9. Add the fried vegetable balls, vinegar and mix well. Serve hot after garnishing with spring onions.
