Red Hot and Blue Potato Salad Recipe

Red Hot Blue Potato Salad is a classic vegetable salad to be served for breakfast and brunches. The red Hot blue restaurant is an American cuisine-based restaurant serving all modern dishes and I have been in search of this potato salad recipe for many months now. The day I got introduced to this recipe I immediately came home and tried out this Red Hot and blue potato salad.

The addition of mayonnaise and amazing toppings in the salads like scallions and pineapples takes the dish to another level of flavor and you can’t deny the fact that this is yummy as well as a healthy diet for you to have on a daily basis.

INGREDIENTS

  • Sweet paprika for sprinkling
  • 1/4 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon grounded black pepper
  • 2 lbs red Potatoes
  • 8 oz Mayonnaise
  • 4 large-sized eggs
  • 1 tablespoon prepared brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Scallions optional
  • 2 tablespoons sweet relish
  • 1 large stalk of celery diced
  • 1 minced small-sized red onion

Method to make the Red Hot and Blue Potato Salad

First of all, you have to boil the eggs. Make sure to hard boil them. Let them cool to handle then peel them. Use a knife to cut the eggs into smaller pieces.

Bring the potatoes and wash them.

Pour water into a skillet and put the potatoes in the skillet to boil them. You must add salt to the boiling water.

Once boiled, drain the water and let the potatoes air cool. Once cooled enough, dice the boiled potatoes into smaller cube-sized pieces.

Dice the celery and add it to a large-sized bowl.

In this large-sized bowl and pour vinegar. You should also add the onions into the bowl and for seasonings add a pinch of salt. Use a spatula to mix the ingredients.

Bring the diced warm potatoes and put them into the bowl containing the vegetable dressing.

Then for further seasonings, pour mayonnaise into the vegetable mixture, and also add mustard into them. Sprinkle the garlic powder and add the sweet relish to it.

Sprinkle the black pepper as well as the ground salt. Bring the chopped boiled eggs and put them on top of the salad.

Then bring the sliced scallions and put them as a topping on the salad. Sprinkle some more black pepper.

Put the bowl in the refrigerator and let stand for an hour while covered from the top. Serve the chilled salad and have fun.
