Snickerdoodles are a cookie-like dessert made in the oven after making the batter and the dough. The dough should be made very carefully for making the perfect snickerdoodles. This snickerdoodle recipe is without Cream of Tarter and I can’t describe in words how amazing this snickerdoodle turns out at home.
Making the snickerdoodle and then storing them in the fridge so that we can have them midweek is a ritual at my place and everyone is happiest with the tradition.
INGREDIENTS
For the dough
- 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter
For the Snickerdoodle Topping
- 2 tablespoons grounded cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Making Cookies Without Cream of Tarter
- Get the oven preheated at a suitable temperature this temperature will be 375 degrees. You should also grease the baking pan at the same time.
- In a mixing bowl, add the ground cinnamon and mix the sugar into it. Stir using the spatula.
- Then you have to prepare the dough for the cookie. Mix the baking soda with the flour and also add the salt for the flavor.
- Firstly use the blender to blend the butter with the sugar. Break an egg ad also pour vanilla into the mixer at the same time. Blend to make a smooth batter.
- In this beaten mixture, you must add the flour and baking soda mixture and blend again. This will take time as the mixture gets thickened.
- Now that your dough is ready take it out in a blender and then make balls out of the dough.
- Make cookies out of the dough balls and put all these dough cookies in the baking pan. Put the baking pan bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes at least.
- After baking enough, take the cookies out as they have already obtained the required color, and let them cool. Use toppings to dress.
- Once air-cooled enough, serve with the coffee.

These Snickerdoodles can be stored for more than a week if you keep them in air-tight containers and bowls. They should be kept in the fridge for proper storage.
Why the snickerdoodle does not spread while cooking?
