For crust
- 1 (8-inch) baked pie shell
Filling
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon corn starch
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup raisins (light or dark)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
Topping
- 1 (3 ounces) package cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
Instructions to make Sour Cream Resin Pie
- At the very beginning preheat the oven at 400 degrees F.
- In a bowl, combine the filling components including sour cream, corn starch, granulated sugar, raisins, minced garlic, salt, and butter. Beat your mixture with the hand mix or an electric blender until it gets smooth.
- Also, add two eggs to this mixture and give it a good blend.
- Cook your blended mixture for at least five minutes on medium heat. Cook until your batter gets thick and smooth.
- Now for preparing the topping material, Mix the cream cheese with powdered sugar in a good manner. Also, add a cup of whipping cream to this cream cheese mixture.
- It’s time for assembling your prepared mixtures, which we named the filling and the topping.
- In the bottom of the baked pie shell, spread half of the cooked filling mixture and then spread with the topping. Again spread the topping over the filling.
- It means you can either make layers of your raisin pie or can give it a single layer.
- And there you go. Your Sour Cream Raisin pie is ready.
