French toasts are an American preparation, even if the name might suggest a French origin, and are eaten for breakfast or brunch.
According to the original recipe, the slices of brioche bread are dipped in a mixture of eggs and milk, fried and, finally, served with fruit, jam or even Nutella.

- 1 pan brioche type bread
- 100 ml partially skimmed milk
- 3 eggs
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 100 g butter
- Maple syrup to taste
- Berries to taste

How to make French toast
In a bowl, add the eggs, milk, a pinch of salt and mix with a fork until the mixture is smooth.
Slice the brioche bread, slather with cream cheese, put another bread slice on top and dip them in the egg mixture.
In a non-stick pan, melt butter and fry the toasts until golden brown without burning them.
Transfer the stuffed French toast to a plate and serve covered with fruit, icing sugar and maple syrup.
