Stuffed Jalapenos Jack in the Box

Jack in the Box styled Stuffed Jalapenos are crispy and crunchy with a pleasant color from the outsides and has a creamy cheese filling on the inside. These are so good that I usually me hundreds of them and store them in the fridge.  These are good to go for your adult gathering and parties. Serving with amazing dips makes them taste more divine.

You can double the recipe if you want to make a really large quantity. Be careful while stuffing and coating. Do not let the skin fall off.

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 (8-ounce) package of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon bacon bits
  • 12 ounces jalapeno peppers (halved and seeded)
  • 1 cup of fresh milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 quarts of oil for frying

Method to make Stuffed Jalapenos Jack in the box style

  1. Mix the cream cheese with the shredded cheddar cheese in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Also, add the bacon bits to this mixture.
  2. You should properly mix so that there will be no lumps left in the mixture. Now your stuffing for the jalapeno is ready.
  3. Half the jalapeno peppers and remove all the seeds from them.
  4. Then one by one take the halved jalapeno peppers and spoon this filling into them.
  5. In the next step, pour the milk into a bowl and also bring the flour near it in a separate one.  Bring your stuffed jalapenos and it’s the time to coat them.
  6. Firstly dip them in the poured fresh raw milk and then coat a layer of flour over it. Let these covered jalapenos stand for 10 minutes at least.
  7. After letting them dry for a few minutes dip the flour-coated jalapenos again in the milk and this time coat a layer of bread crumbs over it.
  8. Again let them stand to get dried for a few minutes. The final step is to cook the stuffed jalapenos.
  9. Heat oil in the frying pot and then fry the stuffed coated jalapenos in it. Wait until they are golden browned and crispy.
  10. Drain the excess oil and serve with the dips and the ketchup.

FAQs?

Should we blanch the peppers before stuffing them?

This Jack box recipe does not involve blanching the jalapenos but I prefer to do so. Dip the peppers first in the boiling water and then in the cold water. After that stuff them accordingly.

How to stick the jalapenos properly?

The flour coating on the jalapenos causes them to stick and prevents the stuffing to come out. There should be a really good coating of flour so that it can stick properly throughout the process.
