  • 1 pound skinned turkey breast meat ( trim all fat and connective tissues)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of securely packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon of liquid smoke non-stick cooking spray
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup reduced-sodium soya sauce
  • ½ cup water

How To Make Teriyaki Turkey Jerky

  1. Firstly, prepare brine in a large stockpot. When it’s done convert it to a food-safe container and add two liters of cool water and wait for the brine to get cool. Then add the whole turkey breast to it and cover it with a lid. Place it in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.
  2. After, 12-24 hours take the turkey out of the brine and make it dry. Then cover it in a plastic sheet and roll it into a cylinder. Freeze this roll bag and place it in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes. This freezing trick will make the slicing of meat easier. Later, slice the frozen meat into slices using a meat slicer.
  3. Take another plastic zip bag and mix all the ingredients. Add slices to it and marinate it for 6-24 hours.
    Meanwhile, preheat your oven up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Then take out the marinated slices and place them directly on your plain grates. Close the oven lid and let it cook. After,2-2.5 hours flip your jerky and let cook for another 2-2.5 hours.
  5. Adjust the timings, and cook it until the jerky breaks easily. If it feels soft ad pliable, cook it more.
  6. Once done you can enjoy it immediately or store it in your fridge for later use.
