Ingredients

  • 500 g macaroni
  • 250 g cheese to gratin
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon (soup) of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon (soup) of butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper (optional)
  • Splash of oil

How to make mac and cheese

Add plenty of water in a saucepan with a splash of oil to boil. Then add the macaroni and let it cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, as directed by the manufacturer. When they’re done, take them out and let them drain well. Reserve them.

Now, let’s prepare the bechamel sauce. To start, we melt the butter and then we add the other flour while stirring with a rod so that they mix well.

Next, we add the milk little by little, while stirring, to form a béchamel that is not too thick. Add salt and pepper, if desired.

Mix the macaroni with the sauce, pour them into a baking dish. Sprinkle all the cheese over the macaroni and let them gratin in the oven. Take them out when the cheese is golden. Enjoy your meal!
