  • 1 (16 ounces) package elbow macaroni
  • 2 (8 ounces) packages of mild cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (8 ounces) package sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 large-sized egg
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions to make delicious Mac and Cheese

  1. Take a large pot and fill it with salted water or add salt after pouring water into it.
  2. Add your uncooked elbow macaroni to this water and boil it in the heated, salted water.
  3. Stir occasionally. After boiling for 8 minutes turn the heat off and drain all the water. Set the cooked elbow macaroni aside.
  4. After reserving a half cup of cheese for later use, mix both kinds of mild and sharp cheddar cheese in a bowl and pour cream into it. Mix well.
  5. Also, add a beaten egg and cottage cheese. Mix well and season the batter with salt followed by freshly ground black pepper.
  6. In this cheese mixture, add the boiled and air-cooled macaroni.
  7. Bring a baking dish from the preheated oven and add the whole macaroni mixture to the baking dish. Spread it evenly and throw the saved cheese over it.
  8. In the preheated oven at 35o degrees bake your macaroni. Wait with patience until the cheese gets completely melted and seeps down in the macaroni.
  9. After baking air cool and serve!
