Mac and Cheese is the essential meal every weekend in our house and must be at yours too. As we are addicted to this dish we usually need variations in flavors and ingredients. So this time I am here with the signature recipe of Wegman’s Mac and cheese.
The surprise flavors added to the mac and cheese and then the crispy layer of bread crumbs at its top makes it the most amazing pasta on the planet. Wegmans Mc and Cheese have become my top favorite and I have ditched all the rest of the recipes.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 tablespoon freshly grated Wegmans Nutmeg
- 1 package Wegmans Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1/4 cup Wegmans all-purpose flour
- 5 tablespoon Wegmans Organic Salted Butter
- 3 1/2 cup Wegmans Whole milk
- 1/4 cup Parmesan and Romano Grated Cheese
- 1/4 cup Gillian’s Italian Gluten-Free Bread crumbs
- 1 package Wegmans Gluten Free Pasta
- 2 tablespoon salt
Steps to make amazing Wegman’s Mac and Cheese
- In a small container combine the bread crumbs with grated cheese.
- Your oven is already getting preheated at 400 degrees for the baking of your pasta.
- Melted butter in a pan, and combine the flour with this butter. Stir fry until browned.
- Pour milk into the flour and butter mixture and whisk it in the flour. Boil the milk in the flour and simmer for a few minutes.
- In the milk add the cheese and wait for the cheese to get melted in the sauce. Use nutmeg and salt to season your sauce.
- You have already cooked and prepared your pasta according to the directions on the package.
- Add this cooked pasta to your sauce.
- Grease the baking dish using a cooking spray or oil and transfer the pasta to the baking pan.
- Make a layer of bread crumb mixture at the top.
- Bake in your oven for 20 minutes and in the end you will get a crispy, bubbling, and cheesy pasta.
- Enjoy with a cold drink.

How to keep my pasta moist?
Avoid overcooking and cook the pasta a few minutes less than the actual time. Add enough sauce to your pasta and also pour enough quantity of milk to have a creamy and saucy mac and cheese.
Do you put eggs in this Wegman’s mac and cheese?
No, we do not add eggs in the mac and cheese as egg gives a specific odor to your mac and cheese and I do not want that in my pasta. But you can add if you like to.
