Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Cookie Mix Recipe

Among the many made in USA recipes I have tasted, this is one of my favorites: I’m talking about peanut butter cookies, also known as peanut butter cookies.

Today I propose you this recipe and I warn you: it will be really difficult to resist! In fact, in my imagination there is a whole category of American desserts, such as pancakes with maple syrup, New York cheesecake, cookies, which lends itself to providing ideas for breakfasts and snacks!

So I really don’t see the reason not to indulge in these delicacies from time to time, do you?

Ingredients

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup packed brown sugar

½ cup peanut butter

¼ cup shortening

¼ cup butter, softened

1 egg

1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

¾ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

How to make peanut butter cookies

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, sugar, shortening, butter and egg. Then add remaining ingredients, mix them well, cover and refrigerate for at least two hours.

Make 1 ¼ balls with dough. Place these balls on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Make crisscross pattern on balls with fork dipped into sugar.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until light brown. Remove from oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. Then remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack.

Store peanut butter cookies in airtight jar.
