Starbucks Cheese Danish Recipe

The Starbucks Cheese Danish is one of my favorite breakfasts and today I will show you how to make them at home. It is super easy to make and also a cost effective breakfast option. Enjoy these delicious Cheese Danishes with a cup of coffee.

This pastry is a treat that is popular all around the world. Cheese Danish is made with puff pastry filled with the cream cheese mixture. Takes only 20 minutes to cook and is perfect for a quick breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

How to make cheese Danish

Preheat the oven at 400F. Prepare a cookie sheet lined with silicone baking sheet.

Take the puff pastry, unfold it and slice it into small rectangular pieces. It will make about 12 rectangular pieces.

Bake the puff pastry pieces in the oven for 10 minutes.

In the meantime, whip the cream cheese, vanilla extract, sugar, lemon juice, and zest.

Remove the puff pastry from oven and press with the help of a spoon and make the oval in the center of the puff pastry rectangle.

Take a tablespoon of cheese mixture and place in the oval. Place the puff pastry back in the oven and bake for 10 minutes more.

Once the edges of the pastry turn golden brown, take them out from the oven.

Allow them to cool for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
