Desert heat dry rub is a spicy rub used for marination and for making the food spicier and yummy by adding the paste of this rub into the gravy of different recipes. Desert Heat dry rub is always my first choice for me since the day I first tried it and it turned out amazing.
Sauteing the cumin seeds
The cumin seeds are first roasted in the cooking pan as this is really helpful for drying out the seeds and they will be turned into a powder so easily.
Roasting is done and then after air cooling, the seeds are added to the processor to ground them and turn them into powder.
Grinding the black peppercorns
The black peppercorn is first sauteed in the pan on the spice top and then ad ground to a fine powder. These are grounded at high speed so that no chunks will be left that will spoil your rub. Adjust the speed according to the need. Black peppercorns are an important ingredient in making this rub.
Combining all the ingredients
Once the cumin seeds and the black peppercorn are grounded, then you must add all the powders including the spices like salt and pepper, and the rest of them like paprika, and chili powder all in the processor and grind all together at medium to high speed.
Using the Desert Heat Dry Rub
The best way to use the desert heat dry rub is to coat out meat like chicken, chicken fillets, or another sort of meat before cooking.
The rub is coated in a layer around all sides of the chicken and the chicken then definitely gets super spicy and yummy after coating with this rub.
Use of Equipment
The basic equipment you need to use in this recipe is a food processor. You have to add all ingredients into this processor and grind them. In case it is not available, you can simply use a blender or mixer.
In old times, people were used to making amazing spices by using mortar and pestle. In some corners of all the cuisine, people use mortar and pestle as they have this concept that the spices are more flavorful when crushed in the mortar and pestle.
