  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Pineapple Juice
  • 3/4 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1/3 cup La Choy Lite Soy Sauce
  • 1 medium-sized pineapple
  • 3 tablespoons fresh ginger

For the Jerk Marinade

  • Sesame seeds to garnish
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Thinly sliced green onions
  • 2 cups cooked Rice
  • 2 tablespoon water

Method to make the Jerk Chicken and Shrimp Pineapple Bowl

  1. Firstly you have to slice the pineapple in two halves. Then you must make cuts and take out all the flesh from the pineapple halves.
  2. Take a small sized mixing bowl, and pour some soy sauce into this bowl.
  3. Mix pineapple juice with the soy sauce and then add the minced garlic to the mixture.
  4. Mix the ginger into it and then pour the sesame oil into it. Stir everything well into it.
  5. In the meantime bring the cleaned chicken and sprinkle salt over it for the purpose to season it.
  6. Then bring a large-sized cooking skillet, and pour the vegetable oil into it for heating.
  7. Then at the flour of the skillet make a layer of the seasoned chicken. Start cooking at medium flame and also don’t forget to flip the chicken to cook it from all sides.
  8. Bring the prepared sauce and pour it over the cooking chicken. Wait for the sauce to boil with the chicken in it.
  9. Then to make the sauce a  little bit thickened, you must add the water and cornstarch slurry to the sauce. The cooking of 10-12 minutes will get you the required thickened sauce.
  10. Your chicken is ready to serve. Transfer the cooked saucy chicken into serving bowls and then top these bowls with the reserved pineapple.
