Publix Chicken Salad Recipe with Mayonnaise

Publix is one of the oldest and largest grocery chains in the United States. You can order their products online as well. One of their products is my favorite and that is Publix Chicken Salad.

I have bought their chicken salad numerous times and also, and I have tried to make this wonderful salad at home and it turned out surprisingly well. Here is the recipe for Publix chicken salad that you must try and enjoy this weekend.

You can serve the salad on a bed of lettuce or put it into pita bread and it tastes amazing with chunky chicken and vegetables. The dried herbs smell delicious and the mayonnaise adds a creamy flavor.

Bake the chicken breasts in the oven or cook in the steamer and slice them into 1-inch chunks. Finely chop the vegetables and mix everything well. Keep the salad in the refrigerator for at least several hours. The delicious chicken salad is ready to enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1⁄2 cup carrot, steamed and chopped
  • 1 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1⁄4 cup onion, chopped
  • 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 3⁄4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon minced garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

How to make chicken salad

  1. Cook chicken breasts in a steamer or bake in the oven until soft and tender. Let the meat cool and then cut into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Combine dill, lemon juice, white pepper, garlic, salt, basil, and parsley with mayonnaise in a large bowl and mix everything thoroughly.
  3. Add chicken, onion, celery, and carrots into the mayonnaise mixture and mix until well incorporated.
  4. Cover the salad bowl and place it in the refrigerator for several hours (ideally overnight).
  5. Serve the chicken salad on a bed of greens and enjoy!
