Red Lobster Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

Here is a quick and easy Shrimp Alfredo recipe. The sauce is delicious and lighter than traditional Alfredo sauce. You may use fresh or frozen shrimp in this recipe. Just make sure to thaw them before cooking if you are using frozen shrimp. This shrimp pasta is a perfect dish for seafood lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled, de-veined and tails removed
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2/3 cup clam juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon each dried basil leaves
  • 8 ounces linguine cooked and drained

How to make Shrimp Alfredo

In a large saucepan, add and heat 1/3 cup olive oil over medium-high flame. Add garlic and lower the heat to low. Simmer for 1 minute or until the garlic is soft and tender.

Now, add shrimp and cook over medium-low heat until the shrimp are opaque. Remove shrimp but reserve the liquid.

Add clam juice or chicken broth alternatively and bring to a boil. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.

Reduce heat, add cream and stir constantly. Add parmesan cheese and stir until smooth. Cook until the sauce is thickened.

Add shrimp to sauce and the remaining ingredients except linguine. Heat through.

Add linguine to the serving bowl. Pour the shrimp with sauce over linguine pasta and toss to coat them. Serve and enjoy!
