Today, we are making the original Sara Lee Cheesecake. It’s a multi-stage process, but do not worry, we will make it simple for you.
The first stage is to make the crust with graham crackers, butter, and sugar. You need to make breadcrumbs of graham crackers and mix with other ingredients. Press the breadcrumbs in a pie dish and bake to make a firm crust.
While the crust is baking, prepare the filling with cheesecake. Once baked, let it cool, and then pour the filling over the crust and bake it again for few minutes. Finally, garnish the cheesecake with toppings and enjoy!

- 1-1/2 cup graham-cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup butter
Filling
- 16 oz cream cheese, soften
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp butter, soften
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
- ¾ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
How to make Sara Lee Cheesecake
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
For making the crust, combine graham cracker crumbs, butter, and sugar and mix until combined.
Pour the crust mixture onto an ungreased 9-inch pie dish and press the mixture to form a flat base layer.
Bake the crust for 7-8 minutes. Remove it from the oven.
Reduce the oven temperature to 350 F.
Now, prepare the filling by combining the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and cornstarch in a mixing bowl and mix until well combined. Add butter, vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
Pour the mixture over crust and bake for 30 minutes. Once baked, remove it from oven. Let it cool for 1 hour.
Mix the sour cream and powdered sugar until combined. Pour over the cheesecake and chill or freeze until ready to serve.
