Tacos Al Vapor Recipe

The crispiness and the deliciousness are the keys to crave for some Tacos in the middle of your night. Tacos al Vapor should be on your list whenever you think of making some good wraps or rolls.

These Tacos are made with the best stuffing that includes meat like a bead, a lot of cheese that makes the taco more creamy and cheesy, and last but not least beans which are already everyone’s favorite. Here we provide you with a step-by-step recipe to make these amazing Al Vapour tacos.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup of fried Beans
  • 12 Corn Tortillas
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 lb dried salted Beef
  • Pinch of ground clove
  • 2 Chile anchos
  • Toppings as per choice
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Step by Step Method to make Tacos al Vapor

  1. Bring the foil sheet and use a cutter to cut the sheet into many pieces almost 12 pieces. You can also substitute the foil sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Take a large skillet and then put Chile in it for boiling. When these are tenderized enough, discard the water and now you need a blender.
  3. Blend these boiled Chiles and then also add the garlic clove into it. Also, add the ground clove into it. Add a little water to make a smooth paste.
  4. Now take a pot and after heating some oil in it, you need to put a tortilla into it.
  5. Before putting the tortilla into it, bring the Chile mixture and spread it on the tortilla. Fry the tortilla to make it brown from both sides.
  6. Then it’s your time to stuff the material in this fried tortilla wrap. Bring the tortilla wrap, put it over the foil or parchment paper and then put the cheese, meat, and beans into it.
  7. Roll them and fold properly with the foil and paper. Repeat the process with all the tortillas. Steam your rolled tortillas for 15-20 minutes using a steamer pot.
  8. Serve your tortilla tacos with sauces and dips!

FAQs?

Should we remove the foil before servings?

All the process is done by wrapping the tortillas in foil and parchment paper. But as Tacos are served unwrapped all over the world so you have to serve them unwrapped.

Can we heat the tortillas in the oven?

Yes, you can use your oven to heat tortillas but I personally prefer stove heating as the tortillas are covered with the sauce and we have to brown them by frying.
